On February 27th, members of the Mazzone Hospitality team including founder Angelo Mazzone, Vice President Tim Vennard, Vice President of Sales Justine Ochal, Director of Event Design Aimie Wockenfuss, and Director of Catering David Zuckerman represented the team at the National ACE Awards in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Mazzone had been selected as a finalist in 3 categories in the national competition organized by Catersource, for their excellence in catering and event design.
Mazzone took home the title of "Best On-Premise Catering" for an event held in September of 2023 at the Hall of Springs in Saratoga Springs, New York.
This event was held for Restaurant Associates, a member of Compass Group who provides food and hospitality services across the United States.
The event included a reception at the Saratoga Automobile Museum followed by dinner at the Hall of Springs. The adjacent venues are both inside the Saratoga Spa State Park grounds. Guests walked from the museum to the Hall of Springs and were greeted by several cocktail stations including an oyster and hot seafood bar. Dinner stations included a rustic Amber Fire Pit with live fire cookery, a 48" inch paella display, and a chef-attended Plancha station.
The design for the event was executed by our in-house design team led by Aimie Wockenfuss. The theme included fall colors, rustic decor, and sustainability.
Vice President Tim Vennard stated, "This is for everyone in the Mazzone Hospitality family. It takes a village!"
