The Kenmore Ballroom

Built between 1876 and 1878, The Historic Kenmore Hotel at 76 North Pearl Street was one of the finest hotels in Albany, NY. The hotel’s ballroom, known then as the Rain-Bo Room, hosted Frank Sinatra, Benny Goodman, the Dorsey Brothers, Cab Calloway, and was a favorite spot of Babe Ruth, and Legs Diamond.

The new Kenmore Ballroom is a modern setting of remarkable luxury, warmth, and elegance with architectural details that lean towards the 1920s and ’30s in attitude and aesthetic. The centerpiece of the 15,000+ square foot space is our breathtaking grand staircase descending from a generously sized mezzanine level to a parquet covered ballroom fitted with natural colors and soft lighting. The lounge is a sophisticated space with a 26-foot quartz and leather bar, comfortable club chairs, and sofas. There is access to a rooftop terrace with spectacular views of Downtown Albany and the Hudson River.

Additionally, there is a boardroom available for smaller private meetings. The kitchen is accessible via lift from street level on the Chapel Street side of the building.

The Kenmore Ballroom capacity: across the two main levels total 300 seated & 500 cocktail style.

Rental of the space includes the use of the venue for getting ready, ceremony, and reception.

As well as enough tables and chairs for up to 300 guests.
